Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, biologically diverse forest region located southeast of Ashland, southwestern Oregon, U.S., on the California border. The monument, established in 2000, encompasses nearly 83 square miles (215 square km). Within its boundaries is a checkerboard of interspersed land parcels; about one-third of the parcels are privately owned and not considered part of the monument. The Cascade Range and the Siskiyou and Klamath mountains converge at the site, as do varied ecological regions.
